An update on what we’ve been up to
How we’ve been connecting with communities in Nigeria and educating ourselves about the tech sector in Nigeria
Did you know: Nigeria’s tech sector generates more than 10% of the country’s economic output? We didn’t either when we started… and now we all know.
As part of our course we teach our students how to create a fully working e-commerce site from scratch using html, css, and javascript. So we decided to test it out on Jacob, who’s been helping us immersely by testing out our course content (aka being the human guinea pig).
You can check out the website he was able to make after just 15 hours of tuition here
We’re now officially registered at charity commission and you can check us out on the charity commission’s website.
We are also super excited about the projects we have lined for 2021 and we’ll be sharing more about in the next few weeks. Stay tuned big things are going to happen!
We are passionate about helping young people, and we believe in having the right organisational structure in order to do this. So we have submitted our application to the charity commission in the UK and are currently in the process of registering an NGO in Nigeria.
We are also partnering with the Vemoye foundation, a charity that focuses on harnessing the power of the African diaspora to help Africa-focused educational organisations. Click here for more.
Well I guess no one is going to read this (being the first post and all…) but our lovely website is now up (you probably guessed that from seeing this page…).
Big shout out to Tina and David for their amazing work and all our reviewers who volunteered their time to provide feedback on the website.
